Stir it up with Marley Coffee!

I am enjoying one of my favorite songs “Stir it Up” by Bob Marley.  Listen… if you don’t already love it,  you will:

Stir it up by Bob Marley

It has me absolutely thrilled to share the news of our new line, Marley Coffee brought to you by the Marley family!  Yes THE Marley family.  I will introduce you to all of the great flavors and roasts we have to offer but,  I wanted to first share the  inspiring story of why the Marley’s have created this company and you will see why we are very proud to be in partnership with them.  The family has a simple mission: do good in honor of Bob Marley’s vision of hope and unity. Sparked by the Marley family, it’s a flame that burns for youth, planet and peace. They are huge in supporting charities that empower people to take action for sustainable and responsible living. And encouraging acts of love and kindness that change the world little by little.

“IN THIS GREAT FUTURE, YOU CAN’T FORGET YOUR PAST”- BOB MARLEY

Bob Marley always said he would return to farming one day. With Marley Coffee, Bob’s son Rohan fulfills the dream. Rohan remembers his grandmother drying their wild coffee berries in the sun, then hulling and roasting them for her own cup of coffee each morning. Marley Coffee is determined to deliver that same intoxicating aroma and rich smooth flavor into every cup.

Marley Coffee is an international gourmet coffee company founded by Rohan Marley and his friend Shane Whittle, sourcing beans from around the world, including Ethiopia, Central America and Jamaica. The beans from Jamaica are from a 52-acre private estate sits atop the Blue Mountains in Chepstowe, Portland, Jamaica, long revered as the region with the world’s most desirable coffee beans. From the Marley’s Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee farm, to partner farms in Africa, Central America and other top coffee-growing regions worldwide, Marley Coffee strives to support communities and the environment through organic, sustainable and ethical practices.

Marley Coffee is committed to respecting the environment, which is why they only use beans from coffee farms that adhere to strict sustainability ethics. It is the Marley family’s hope that the Marley Coffee farm will inspire other Jamaican farmers to join the organic movement, by showing them that sustainable farming can be profitable. Look for the USDA and OCIA Organic seals on the bags of their beans sourced from their committed coffee farm partners around the world. As well find the FLO Fair Trade Certified logo, that ensures farmers receive a fair living wage. Providing a living wage is not only the humane thing to do, it also is one of the critical factors for creating and continuing sustainable farming practices. When farmers become impoverished, they are often left with no choice but to increase yield by using inexpensive, low-quality chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Marley Coffee will fight for what’s pure, true, and vital. From the biodiversity of their own farm to the ethical treatment of their farm’s workers, they pride themselves on knowing where and whom their beans come from, and how they are grown, harvested, and roasted.

It is so wonderful to be involved with a company and product that is not only superior in quality,  the company uses ethical practices with a vision of a better world.  Not to mention it is just plain old fun!  Everyone loves this stuff!!  It creates a buzz, an excitement and a positive atmosphere.  This is a coffee that we can really get behind and feel good about supporting! Even better it tastes great to boot!!

Stir it up!
