Have you noticed to ever-growing number of roasters offering their coffee in a Kcup? Big names from Starbucks to Folgers, Dunkin Donuts to Caribou are jumping on the Keurig Kcup coffee train. This is great for you the consumer but, poses the question of which to choose.
This weeks Keurig Kcup coffee roaster is…Twinings Tea.
I am a newly found tea drinkin’ junkie. I sip on a variety of teas ALL day long! I enjoy it for several reasons; first, I never have to worry about my water intake- I drink plenty in the form of tea alone. Second, it keeps me warm. It is winter in Cleveland, which means we get to be cold for oh 6 months give or take. That gets real old, real quick. I am up for anything to make the winter months less painful.
I am not picky when it comes to tea, I will pretty much drink anything but, I do have a few favorites including Twinings Pure Camomile and Peppermint. Twinings is considered a value priced Kcup which means the saving are passed on to you making them a very affordable option.
Twinings has been sourcing artisan teas for over 300 years. The name Twinings and the word tea are synonymous. These fine beverages are served in over 100 countries. This is a company chock full of history. Starting with the founder Thomas Twinings who started in the industry in 1706, Queen Victoria and the Archbishop of Canterbury were among his first customers.
Among Thomas Twinings accomplishments are the creation the first English Breakfast tea which is of course a staple tea still today as well as the first tea bag! Twinings has carried that thirst for innovation on to today, being one of the first independent distributors of Keurig Kcup teas.
The selection of Twinings Keurig Kcup teas continues to grow, there are several varieties available today including:
