If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes. I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. They are a simple indulgence that can usually be made with ingredients already in your kitchen. There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir, we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.
Up this week…Jamaican coffee.
This recipe in inspired by my recent spring break vacation. No, we did not go to Jamaica, we went to Washington D.C. and had a great time but, it was SOOOO COLD! As we toured our nations capital in winter coats, hats and gloves I dreamed of a sunny spring break on the beach. I have returned with the goal of never packing thermals for spring break again, from now on our vacation wardrobe will be bathing suits and flip-flops. Jamaica here we come!
With sun on the mind I had to share a Jamaican coffee recipe.
You will need:
1 shot Jamaican Rum
1 shot of coffee liqueur (I recommend Tia Maria)
1 dark roast Keurig Kcup coffee
Cinnamon and nutmeg
Pour rum and coffee liqueur into a martini shaker (no ice). Brew the dark roast Keurig Kcup on the lowest water setting of your brewer. Add the coffee to the martini shaker. Shake gently. Pour into your favorite fancy glass. Top with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon and nutmeg. Sip, enjoy and say ya mon the rest of the day : )
