Keurig Kcup Coffee Recipe- Black Forest Coffee

If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes.  I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. They are a simple indulgence that can usually be made with ingredients already in your kitchen. There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir, we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.

Up this week…Black Forest Coffee.

Black Forest CoffeeI was on a mission to find a new and unique coffee recipe this week.  No latte, cappuccino or iced tea…something with an unexpected twist.  Enter…maraschino cherries.

Cherries and coffee?!  I will admit, that does not sound like a match made in heaven but, toss in a little dark chocolate and homemade whipped cream and now you have my interest.

You will need:

1 extra bold Kcup coffee (I chose Newman’s Own Special Blend).

1 T cocoa powder

1/8 cup room temperature maraschino cherry juice

whipped cream (preferably homemade, I used this recipe)

dark chocolate shavings

-Start by brewing your extra bold Kcup coffee on the lowest water setting of your brewer.  This is essential for this recipe.  You need that rich, dark coffee flavor to combine perfectly with the chocolate and cherry.

-Add the cocoa powder and stir until dissolved.

-Add the maraschino cherry juice.  At this point I popped mine in the microwave for 20 seconds simply because I was worried that the cherry juice would leave me with luke warm coffee.

-Top with plenty of whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

The combination of flavors in this little number will make you taste buds sing!  This is THE perfect dessert coffee.  And I do not mean to be served with dessert, it IS the dessert!

Chocolate Coffee Milkshake

The two loves of my life come together in this little number, chocolate plus coffee make April a happy girl.

You will  need:

Chocolate Coffee Milkshake ingredients

1 C whole milk

3 scoops chocolate ice cream

1 dark roast Keurig Kcup coffee (I chose Barista Prima Italian Roast)

1-2 cups ice

Start by brewing your dark roast Keurig Kcup coffee on the lowest water setting of your brewer.  Place in fridge or ice bath to chill for at least 1 hour. Do not be tempted to add ice to cool it down, that will water it down too much and diminish the coffee flavor.

Here is the complicated part- plop it all in the blender and push on.

Done.

I did feel more chocolate was necessary (isn’t it always) so I added 1 T of cocoa powder and it was perfect! This is a delicious, easy to make summer treat that I am quite sure will become a regular in my home!

Keurig Kcup Coffee Recipe- Iced Vanilla Latte

If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes.  I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. They are a simple indulgence that can usually be made with ingredients already in your kitchen. There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir, we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.

Up this week…Iced Vanilla Latte.

How to make an iced vanilla latte

I am a former Dunkin Donuts iced coffee addict.  Second only to Starbucks Vanilla Iced Latte.  I say former not because I have recovered from  my addiction but, I have discovered how simple iced coffees are to make at home, especially with my Keurig brewer.

A typical Iced Vanilla Latte recipe might look something like this:

2 tablespoons vanilla syrup

1.5 ounces espresso

10 ounces milk

Ice

Not the most difficult recipe in the world but, Keurig has done what they do best and made making an Iced Vanilla Latte even easier with Brew Over Ice French Vanilla Kcup coffee.

French Vanilla Brew Over Ice Keurig Kcup coffee

French Vanilla Iced Coffee Kcups are a flavored coffee meant to be brewed over ice.  There is a high amount of coffee packed inside that tiny cup enabling it to stand up to a large amount of ice without tasting watered down.

Lets get to the recipe…

You will need:

1 French Vanilla Brew Over Ice Keurig Kcup

1/2 cup- 1 cup of milk (I recommend whole)

ice

Sugar or sweetener if desired

-Start by brewing your French Vanilla Brew Over Ice Kcup coffee on the lowest water setting of your Keurig directly into a tall plastic cup filled half way with ice (save room for the milk).

-If you would like to add sugar or sweetener, do so at this point.

-Add the desired amount of milk (I tend to go on the heavy side with the milk, this is a Latte after all).

*Hint* If you prefer your Iced Latte to have a stronger coffee flavor, use coffee iced cubes opposed to regular ice cubes!

Sip and enjoy!

Up this week…Blackberry Mint Iced Tea.

Blackberry Mint Keurig Kcup Iced Tea

There are two things growing in my yard just begging to be used- fresh mint and ripe blackberries.  There are always jam, mojitos, smoothies, you know the usuals. But, I wanted something unique.  Where does any girl go when she needs a recipe? Why, Pinterest of course!

This recipe is adapted from a Bobby Flay bourbon recipe, with a few tweaks minus the bourbon we have a refreshing iced tea packed with antioxidants and delicious fruit flavor!

You will need:

Blackberry Iced Tea made with Keurig Kcup coffee

2 Unsweetened Black Tea Keurig Kcups (I chose a Brew Over Ice but, any black tea Kcups will work fine)

1 1/2 C blackberries

1/4 C sugar

4 sprigs fresh mint

– Start by chopping 2 sprigs of mint into fine pieces.

– Combine the blackberries, sugar and chopped mint into a large bowl and squish (technical, huh?) with a potato masher.

– Brew both Unsweetened Black Tea  Kcups on the lowest water setting of your Keurig brewer.

– Pour the hot tea over the blackberry, sugar, mint combination. Let sit on counter for one hour.

– Pour the mixture through a strainer into a pitcher.

– Serve over ice with a sprig of mint to garnish.

Makes 2 servings.

If you are feeling a little wild add 1 shot of bourbon to make this a perfect summer cocktail!

Keurig Kcup Coffee Recipe- Arnold Palmer

If you have been around awhile you have come to know (and hopefully love) our Monday K-cup coffee recipes.  I love fun, easy to make coffee drinks. There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here, no sir, we have Keurig’s in our kitchen that make these recipes easy peasy.

Up this week…Arnold Palmer.

Peach Arnold Palmer made with Snapple Keurig Kcups

Arnold Palmers have always been my go to, on vacation, lounge by the pool, sipping cocktail.  They are light and refreshing with just a bit of relaxing tossed in! The second I received word that Snapple Kcup teas would be added to our line of products I knew this would be the next recipe on my too do list.

Snapple Kcup teas are available in two flavors, lemon and peach.  I tried both in my Arnold Palmer recipe.  The lemon was amazing but the peach was out of this world delicious! I literally sighed with satisfaction when I took my first sip. It is a unique flavor with just the right hint of sweetness.  The peach adds an unexpected dimension to this classic drink that I am quite certain you are going to love!

Let’s get to the recipe…

You will need:

Peach Arnold Palmer made with Snapple Keurig Kcup tea

2- 1 oz shots of Sweet Tea vodka (any brand will do but, I am particularly partial to Firefly)

1- Snapple Peach Tea Keurig Kcup

ice

peach slices

mint to garnish

-Start by brewing your Snapple Peach Kcup tea on the lowest water setting of your Keurig directly over ice in a  plastic cup (glass may crack).

-Fill a large glass with an equal amount of ice and peach slices.

-Pour the brewed/ chilled tea over the ice/ peach slice combination.

-Add 2 shots of Sweet Tea vodka.

-Garnish with mint and a peach slice.

Sip and enjoy!

Dont be sad when your glass is dry because the party is just getting started.  As you were leisurely enjoying your Arnold Palmer the peach slices were becoming infused with the flavors of the Snapple tea and vodka. You will not believe how good they are, peaches just so happen to be in season in my neck of the woods making them even more delectable!
